At the Gosho Plant of Nagata Seisakusho, a total manufacturing system is applied to all the processes of design, development and production of CG machines (curve generators), various smooting (pellet type) and polishing (spherical and cylindrical) machines, and cylindrical grinding machines.

For example, the fixed sizing machine (patented internationally), developed at this plant in 2003, is capable of controlling the lens thickness accurate to within ±0.01. Moreover, much of our cutting edge technologies is covered by numerous patents both in Japan and abroad.

Optical Lenses, Sara, and Jigs and Tools

Our CG, polishing,lens centering,coating,cleaning and assembling jigs are all the brainchildren of an enormous accumulation of our sophisticated know-how.At Nagata Seisakusho, new ideas are constantly being turned into optical jig products incorporating our peerless lens processing technology. Our spherical jigs(polishing sara and holders), in particular, claim over 80 percent(Above data is based on the self-administered survey) of the domestic market.They are also being exported in increasing volumes.

The motto of the Nagata Group is to see,think and utilize technologies in the eyes of our customers. The lens processing division of Nagata Seisakusho is not only a place where master plates and prototype lenses are produced but also where the machinery,jigs and tools, daiamond tools,optical emeries and other items developed within the Group are subjected to thorough testing.Thus a variety of products developed by the Group are evaluated and improved in this division before they are marketed as highly original products.In this division,some employees from member companies are also trained in lens processing techniques.
