Since the founding on April 1, 1954 of Nagata Seisakusho,the NAGATA Group has been growing together with Japan’s optical industry. Favored by cooperation and guidance from a large number of its customers, the Group today is operating in a powerful setup of four companies and three business offices in Japan and three companies and one business office abroad.
Nagata Seisakusho Co.,Ltd., which is the core member of the Group,is in charge of development and manufacture of a variety of equipment for manufacturing optical lenses, various jigs and tools,high-accuracy master plates and prototype lenses.Nagata Seisakusho boasts a monthly production of more than 30,000 units of spherical jigs for lens production (“sara”,holders, etc.), which is equivalent to an 80-percent share of Japan’s domestic market. And its expertise is covered by a large number of patents.
NAGATA Co.,Ltd., another important member of the Group,performs the function of discovering new needs and developing new products in cooperation with various makers around the country. More specifically,Nagata takes charge of the sales of consumable and other auxiliary materials,such as optical measuring instruments and machinery,optical emeries,diamond tools,cleaning agents and environment-related items,which are supplied by manufacturers outside the NAGATA Group.
Suntec Dia Co.,Ltd.specializes in the development and manufacture of diamond wheels for grinding optical lenses and liquid crystal,ceramic and various crystalline materials.There is a great demand for diamond wheels just right for a variety of crystalline materials,which are being developed in various areas today.
Sun-Bright Co., Ltd. is mainly in charge of manufacturing PO cutting systems and automatic lens blacking machines,both developed by itself. Sun-Bright is also conducting active development and manufacture of laborsaving equipment,such as robots,supply and storage systems and line systems.This company has dozens of patents covering its coolant traps and other products. In the overseas operation of the NAGATA Group,the Jakarta Branch is charged with business in South Asia; Nagata Hong Kong Co.,Ltd. is operating sales in Northeast Asia;and Nagata Shanghai International Trade Co.,Ltd. is handling business in the Chinese market.In the optical industry,the NAGATA Groupwill coutinue developing technologies further streamlining lens processing.We are also determined to pursue our own raison d’etre which goes beyond the current services of a maker or a trader of optical machinery and tools.
